What is True Loaf?
True Loaf is a neighborhood bakery dedicated to crafting honest, high-quality breads and pastries since 2013. Every dough is made from scratch and shaped by hand, using only the finest ingredients – never any additives or preservatives. Our baked goods are wholesome, thoughtfully made and baked fresh daily. We take pride in offering products that are simple, delicious and true to traditional methods.
We are best known for our naturally leavened sourdough bread, traditional baguettes and very tasty croissants made with top quality French butter, but our offerings go well beyond these classic staples of French cuisine. We also bake brioche, madeleines, canelés, financiers, and filled donuts, along with American favorites like chocolate chip walnut cookies, banana bread, blueberry muffins and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.
One item customers often return for is our Burnt Basque Cheesecake, which is rich, creamy, and replete with vanilla. Another standout is our Panettone, a luxurious, mouth-watering Italian holiday bread we make primarily for Christmas. Often called the "Mount Everest of baking", it took us many years of dedication, sweat, tears, and perseverance to finally master.
And while pastries and bread are at the heart of what we do, our sandwiches have become a beloved part of our menu. Made with our fresh-baked ficelle or sourdough, and filled with thoughtfully chosen ingredients, they’re simple, satisfying, and full of flavor. Perfect for a quick lunch, especially with a little something sweet on the side.
